Being in a printing environment the dust accumulation over many years can become considerable, especially in the area where all of our paper and related raw material waste is collected. Three years ago we had our ducts cleaned by another company. We assumed they did an adequate job of cleaning. We spoke to our friend regarding a musty odor, which seemed to be coming from the ducts when the heat or air was running. He brought us a business card and brochure they still had from when they used Clean Air Technologies. Our friends were the first to PR the company and they explained the procedure. We decided to call and have C.A.T. come and assess our vents. C.A.T. came to the house for a no obligation meeting, removed the cold air return register and dropped a video camera lens into the ductwork so I could view them. To my complete surprise, the ducts were absolutely filthy. It looked like the previous cleaning company had taken a child’s sand shovel down the middle of the ducts, making one path and all the rest of the dirt, mold, dust and mildew was moved to the sides of the ducts. It was truly gross. Consumer knowledge is very poor in this line of work. If I had known the initial job was so poor, I would have contacted the BBB. Clean Air Technologies felt that it was essential for any member of their team to know what is involved in the process of cleaning vents in order to understand how the meticulous process is performed. Their team worked professionally and smoothly. I viewed the ducts in the “before” and “after” stage with the video camera provided. The post operation view was gleaming steel ductwork! There wasn’t a speck of dirt or dust left! I liked everything about the service.
